In this day long workshop partipants start to make a quilt using Ami Simm's Twisted Sister template. The Twisted Sister template is easy to use and creates great looking quilts. You can make any size of quilt from cot quilt through to full bed quilt. It also suits all styles - florals, scrappy, batiks, self patterned fabrics - and colour schemes
As there's no tricky matching of seams, it's ideal for the relative beginner. Equally if you are already an experienced quilter you will enjoy the variey of effects you can create.
What to expect on the day
Morning Session
- Welcome and Introductions
- Quilt designs using template demonstrated and technique involved discussed
- Fabrics and colour scheme chosen by participants and quilts started
Afternoon Session
- Continuing work on lap quilts
What you need
• Sewing machine and usual patchwork and quilting equipment – rotary cutter, ruler, board, thread, scissors etc
• Fabric – a range of co-ordinating fabrics. Exact details would be provided in advance
You will also need to purchase a template on the day
