This wonderfully basic course covers using a sewing machine, how to cut, press etc and through making a needlecase or cafetaire cosy (either by hand or machine) provides an introduction to patchwork techniques.
What to expect on the day
Morning Session
- Welcome and Introductions
- Introduction to examples of patchwork, applique and quilting
- Types of equipment
- Start on project - choose fabrics, cutting, sewing, pressing
Afternoon Session
- Continuing work on project - quilting and binding
