I am aware that you may have concerns making purchases and disclosing information over the Internet. At Patchkits, I take security very seriously and make shopping online as safe as in any shop.
Q Are my debit or credit card details secure?
A Your debit or credit card transactions are secure. Your browser will go into secure mode as soon as you click to go into the 'checkout' area ie before you enter any payment details. You can check that you are shopping in a secure environment by looking for a locked padlock icon at the bottom of your browser screen.
Being in 'secure mode' means that all of your details are encrypted to keep them secure. Encryption creates billions of code combinations to protect each transaction made on the site, so your card details cannot be viewed by anyone else using the Internet. The site supports 128 bit encryption, therefore keeping your details as safe as possible at all times. Furthermore, your payment is handled by Sagepay so no debit or credit card details are stored on the Patchkits server nor can I access them.
We only accept orders that are placed using Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This technology prevents you from inadvertently revealing personal information using an un-secure connection.
Q What about my personal information?
A When you place an order, I ask for your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and so forth.
Your name and address information is used solely for verifying your identity and for processing your order. I will not disclose any personal information to third parties, other than in connection with the fulfilment your order. I will not disclose any personal information unless required by law to do so.
Q What about E-mail?
A Information contained within general email inquiries is used solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
I will send you information by e-mail, if you have requested it or have not said I may not contact you with news and offers. I will always give you the opportunity to be removed from any e-mail mailing list.
Q Do you use Cookies?
A Cookies are used in the shopping section of this site. I sometimes use cookies to track visits, keep your account information up-to-date, and estimate audience size. The information collected by cookies helps me to better understand the market and provide the best service to my customers.
